First off, I am flat-out excited and happy with my race performance! I feel like everything we’ve been working on over the past 3 years came together on race day. As the adage goes, there is no ”I” in team and I want to join your team, helping get you to the start and finish lines of your races. I enjoy creating individualized training plans that reward discipline and consistency as well as providing experienced guidance to achieve your goals." —Coach Suzanne Turner
"Consistency trumps 'big days'. Continuously making deposits in the fitness bank, as small as they may sometimes seem, will make a big withdrawal on race day that much more manageable. That said, every so often 'life happens' and some course-correction is inevitable - that's where the TriStar coaching approach, backed by science and experience, is guaranteed to make a difference." —Coach Attila Kelemen
Adam Daniels is a coach, ultra runner and triathlete based in Boulder, CO. Adam developed his passion for triathlon after many years as a runner and much encouragement from his peers to give it a “tri”. Coaching Consulting Options
The Tristar Athletes race fueling consult is one of our most popular services we offer. We will craft a plan that addresses your nutrition limiters and prepares your body for any endurance event.
Every athlete has distinctly different nutritional needs for optimal performance. We use the latest scientific research to provide athletes of all levels with individualized nutrition plans based on their unique performance and fitness goals. We consider individual training schedules and lifestyle choices to determine specific energy and hydration needs for each athlete and maximize energy levels. This expert analysis and individualized nutrition plan improves endurance and speeds muscle recovery.
The plan developed by our coaches will address your carbohydrate, fluid intake and sweat loss / electrolyte replacement strategy. This consultation is the starting point for our Tristar Nutrition Coaching.
Your nutrition plan will be developed by our principal level III coaches or certified nutritionists. You will receive a detailed caloric and nutrient based plan (PDF / Spreadsheet) with your key event from start to finish. You will setup a call time with your Tristar team to go over your current health histories and what has worked or not worked for you in the past.
Lets get started! All Tristar Athletes start off with an initial consultation with their prospective coaches, by FaceTime, phone or google hangout and in person when possible.
We begin by learning about you and your goals and develop a season plan to best fit your needs. With your Tristar Coach you will go over your health histories, strengths and weakness in the planning stages for your future development. Prior to meeting with your coach you will need to have paid for you consult here and also fill out our athlete questionnaire by clicking HERE. Fill out as much as you can and take your time, no need to rush it back to us. This will help our coaches get to know you and the “rules to your game”. Once we have both your questionnaire and payment submission you will be contacted within 24hrs to setup a meeting time.
