Fun fact: …Ben took the “Pepsi challenge” last year and dove head first into training in the off season to work his limiters. Its rare that an athlete can make the needed changes in the off season (Through the cold, ice and snow!) to improve as much as Ben has. The result? Multiple PR’s and a recent 43min PR at IMLP.
Bio, goals and races: Upcoming race SBT 140mi Gravel Bike ride and NYC Marathon. Ben is also registered for Lake Placid in 2020 and Ironman St Geroge in May.
Ben is a passionate athlete and family man with his wife Isabel and their daughter Sylvie.
Ben has been a Tristar Athlete for two+ years and has a strength in running, though he continues to be more balanced each season with cycling and swimming.
Trains with a Wahoo Kicrk/Zwift setup to maximize his training time as well as using run power.
Ben dropped 15+ lbs from his frame last year following our Tristar macro nutrition planning and portion control protocol.

Due to a lack of wind resistance while running on a treadmill, the effort of running on a treadmill at 0% incline is less than that of running on a level road at the same pace. Our Tristar chart can help you get an approximate equivalent effort for zones between running on a treadmill at different paces and inclines and running outdoors on a level surface.
