Tristar Athletes Northeast - The Cinderella Ride

Who? Tristar Athletes Northeast team

What? Established in 2016, A hard but smart hard group ride of cyclists and triathletes organized by Tristar Jeff Schelppy

Where? Southern Connecticut, Darien.

When? See the ride details below

…After a long hiatus, the Cinderella Ride is finally back.

What exactly is a Cinderella Ride?  It is a night ride that rolls at 9pm for 35-40 ish miles. You will be home by midnight or thereabouts (Cinderella, get it?) and face little-to-no collateral damage at the home front.  That's a riding win for you!

Why ride at night?  Because it's awesome. There are very few cars if any, you can ride center lane vs hard right, and it's like being a kid again and who doesn't want that?!?

Is it safe? Given I have crashed going uphill in broad daylight I would consider the Cinderella Ride "fairly safe". Riding at night requires a lot of lights, solid bike handling skills, and a sense for adventure.  If you are no fun at all, this is not for you.

Are you serious? Yes.  The first CR took place on 10/5/16 with 4 people..see the picture above!
