CTL, Training Peaks, Tapering

★★★ Understanding Training Stress Balance ranges - "how tired should I be and when?"

The difference between CTL and ATL (CTL – ATL = TSB)!

CTL = Chronic training load, also known as "fitness" how "fit" are you on any given day. The CTL is a 42 day rolling average of training stress points from your workouts with a slight weighting towards the most recent two weeks.

ATL = Acute training load which is a two week rolling average of training stress load. This is also known as "fatigue". Fatigue changes quickly within days...

TSB = Training stress balance or "Form", are you on "form" for your key event. Fit and fresh!

NOTE: all training stress balance interpretation is only as accurate as your keep your thresholds!
