The importance of family has always been a part of her core and becoming a part of the TriStar family has been a great addition to her life.  Suzanne has had success at her own at races, one of her favorite events was a sprint relay that she did with her husband and daughter. She enjoys meeting fellow Tristar athletes at training camps, cheering with or for fellow Tristars or racing alongside her teammates. In her career in the sport, she has attended many of the favorite IM venues around the US, and loves to share the logistical and specific location tips and tricks she’s learned along the way.   She looks forward to helping people achieve their goals in sport with her guidance and the support of the entire Tristar team.

Suzanne’s athletic background started as a young child, passionate about sports, enjoying participating and spectating equally.  She played soccer and field hockey through high school, continuing on to a Division 1 school where she captained the field hockey and lacrosse teams.

She took a break from organized sports, while pursuing a career in finance in New York City and then raising her three children.  She started casually running in 2013, completing 5ks, 1/2 Marathons and Ragnar Relay Races. After bonking at the Bermuda 1/2 marathon in 2015 she turned to Cliff Scherb for guidance. He coached her to compete at the NYC women’s 1/2 marathon that year, achieving her goal of finishing under 2hrs with a smile on her face.  He put a recovery swim on her training calendar the day after the race.  Although learning to swim as a child, her family had never seen her more than wade into water, let alone swim. But she headed to the pool with determination, not wanting to say I didn’t, I won’t, I can’t.

She went on to do her first sprint triathlon that summer then volunteered and spectated at Ironman Lake Placid the following week. Inspired by these experiences, she registered for her first 70.3 a week later and had dreams of qualifying for IM 70.3 Worlds 2016, which were to be held in the US.  And after many hours of swimming, biking and running she made it to the starting line in Chattanooga September 2016.

She has podiumed in her age group at numerous Sprint and Olympic distance events and been top 10 in her age group at several Ironman 70.3’s and is an all world Ironman athlete.  Her most recent highlights are placing 3rd at both IM Maine 70.3 and Challenge Daytona Middle Distance in 2018.
